Enfield Community Services has a vision to improve the health of people in Enfield.We are looking for individuals to help us deliver that vision.
We have recently reviewed our health visiting service and have an exciting opportunity for experienced specialist health visitors and experienced or newly qualified generalist health visitors.

What we offer
We are offering a rewarding and challenging opportunity to join our team in Enfield.You will be joining a well supported team with skill mix colleagues to deliver a universal child health programme and help those families with additional needs. You will work in community premises, children’s centres and client’s homes.We are using CAF and have the benefit of local ‘integrated support teams’ to enable us to deliver a joined up, seamless service with partner agencies.
You will also be offered a comprehensive package including a range of staff benefits such as supervision from experienced psychologist, mileage allowance, training, reduced rate membership of local leisure facilities. If you work in Enfield you will also get the HCAS payment for outer London.
What you can offer
Band 6 - You will be a health visitor generalist with some management responsibility.You will work as part of a skill mix corporate team, sharing best practice with colleagues.
Band 7 - You will use your additional specialist knowledge in areas such as parenting, breast feeding, post natal depression, domestic violence, obesity or immunisations.You will attend relevant meetings, support protocols and share best practice with colleagues.You will also line manage band six health visitors within your base, lead a corporate team and hold corporate caseload responsibilities.

Return to Practice Course for health visitors in Enfield Are you thinking of returning to your nursing career after a break?
If it has been a while since you have practiced as a health visitor and you have not activated your NMC registration for five years or more, then Enfield Community Services (ECS) can help you return to practice.
ECS will pay your tuition fees for you to study at the University of Hertfordshire on a three to six month return to practice programme.You will also be given a bursary of £1000 to help with studying costs.
Studying the theoretical and practical aspects of the role will help you refresh your existing knowledge, develop your skills and prepare you to return to practice.
You will need to attend ten theory days at the University of Hertfordshire campus.You will also have a practice placement which will be supported by a practice educator.
To qualify you will need to be able to study to a degree level. Applicants must successfully complete all assessments to pass the course and achieve re-registration on the NMC register.
